Itinerary
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Meet your chauffeur-guide and transfer to your hotel in Negombo. Check-in and relax to recover from your flight. Enjoy a walk along Negombo Beach or the local fishing village.
After breakfast, drive to Dambulla. Climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the late afternoon, check into your Dambulla/Sigiriya area hotel.
After an early breakfast, visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) to explore the royal ruins and the famous Gal Vihara. In the afternoon, drive to Kandy, the cultural capital. In the evening, witness a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance performance.
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in the morning. Explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. After lunch, drive to Nuwara Eliya (Little England) through stunning tea plantations. En route, stop at a tea factory to learn about the production of Ceylon Tea.
Early morning drive to Ella. Enjoy the breathtaking views from Ella Gap. Drive towards Udawalawe. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park, famous for large herds of wild elephants.
After breakfast, drive to the Southern Coast, stopping at a turtle hatchery on the way. Check-in to your hotel near Galle. In the afternoon, explore the Galle Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site)—walk along the ramparts, visit the lighthouse, and browse the boutique shops.
Enjoy a final Sri Lankan breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping. Transfer from Galle to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for your departure.
