Itinerary
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Meet your chauffeur-guide and travel directly towards Kandy (approx. 3.5 – 4 hours drive). En route, you may have a quick stop at a Spice Garden. Check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by a brief walk around the serene Kandy Lake.
(Early Start Essential): After an early breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (a quick visit, as time is limited). Begin the long drive to Galle (approx. 4.5 – 5 hours drive via the Expressway). Check into your hotel on the South Coast (Galle/Unawatuna/Mirissa). In the late afternoon, enjoy the sunset and a leisurely walk on the beach to relax after the long journey.
Spend the entire day on the Southern Coast, focusing on activities near Galle. Morning: Engage in thrilling water sports at a popular nearby beach (Unawatuna or Bentota) such as Jet Skiing, Banana Boat Rides, or Snorkeling. Afternoon: Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Fort. Walk along the ancient ramparts, visit the Lighthouse, and browse the quaint Dutch-colonial streets and shops.
Enjoy a final breakfast on the beach. You may have time for a visit to a nearby Turtle Hatchery or a quick visit to the Mask Museum in Ambalangoda, depending on your flight schedule. Transfer from Galle to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) (approx. 2.5 – 3 hours drive via the Expressway) for your departure.
