Itinerary
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Meet your driver and transfer to Kandy. In the afternoon, visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Evening: Enjoy a Kandyan Cultural Dance Show.
Morning: Visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens or a Tea Factory near Kandy. Afternoon: Take the scenic train from Kandy to Nanu Oya (Nuwara Eliya’s station).
Morning: Explore Nuwara Eliya’s colonial charm (e.g., Gregory Lake, Post Office). Visit a Tea Plantation and the Ramboda Falls area. Afternoon: Drive or take the iconic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella.
Morning: Complete any remaining Ella activities (e.g., Ella Rock, Nine Arch Bridge). Mid-day: Drive down from the hills to Udawalawe. Afternoon (3 PM): Embark on a thrilling Jeep Safari in Udawalawe National Park to see the elephants.
Morning: Visit the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home to see baby elephants being fed (check feeding times). Late Morning: Transfer to the Southern Coast. Afternoon: Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Fort. Walk the ramparts, visit the lighthouse, and browse the boutique shops.
Early Morning (6 AM): Take the short drive to Mirissa for Whale Watching (highly seasonal, typically November to April). Late Morning: Return, check out of your Galle hotel, and drive north to Bentota/Induruwa. Afternoon: Relax on Bentota Beach.
A full day dedicated to the coast. Morning: Enjoy water sports activities in the Bentota lagoon (jet skiing, banana boat rides, wakeboarding, etc.). Afternoon: Relax on the beach or take a Madu River boat safari through the mangroves.
Enjoy a final breakfast. Transfer from Bentota to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for your departure.
