Itinerary
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Meet your chauffeur-guide and transfer directly to Galle (approx. 2.5–3 hours drive via the expressway). In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Fort: walk the ramparts, visit the lighthouse, and browse the boutique shops.
After breakfast, drive inland to the wildlife area. For the best time-to-value ratio, we recommend Udawalawe National Park (approx. 3.5 hours drive). Check into your safari accommodation and embark on a thrilling afternoon jeep safari in Udawalawe, famous for its large herds of wild elephants.
An early start is essential. Drive from Udawalawe to the charming mountain town of Ella (approx. 3 hours). Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge and enjoy the stunning views of Ella Gap. Continue the scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5 hours). Check-in and experience the cool climate of “Little England.”
Visit a local tea factory and plantation in the morning to learn about the process of Ceylon Tea. After lunch, begin the long drive (approx. 5–6 hours) out of the hills, past Kandy, and up to the coastal city of Negombo. Check into your hotel, ready for the early flight the next day.
Enjoy a final breakfast (depending on your flight time). Transfer from your hotel in Negombo to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) (a short drive) for your onward departure.
